The Nature Shield Family
Nature Shield was founded by our owner Alex McRae and his wife Andriana McRae. Alex loves the outdoors and has found a passion for business and bugs. Alex graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance, while also preparing for dental school. During 2020 Alex finally gave into the promptings that were tugging on his soul to do something other than dental school. In college Alex also worked for a top ten pest control company and traveled all over the country as a sales trainer. Working for a large corporation had its perks but Alex always felt there was a better way to serve his customers. So he struck out on his own and started Nature Shield. With his backgrounds in business and biology he has a key understanding of how bugs and plants function and how to serve his customers the correct way. Like Family!
The McRae Family is made up of Alex, Andriana, Hyrum and Margaret. They all love the outdoors and absolutely love Idaho. Since their marriage in 2015, Alex and Andriana have lived in 8 different states and say that nowhere else compares to Idaho. Alex is an avid hunter, horseman, firearms enthusiast, and major foodie. When he isn’t working you may be able to catch him and the family at tin roof tacos in Meridian or the Stil Ice cream in Boise.
They look forward to serving the Treasure Valley and cultivating peace of mind for families.
Our Name
With our love for nature and pest control we wanted a name to match. That’s where nature shield originated. It’s more of a promise than a name. A promise to use environmentally friendly products to protect the nature we love and a promise to be the shield between our customer’s homes and the pests that are trying to invade.
